Angorichina Village in the Flinders Ranges
Angorichina Village is a tourist village with a central location in the Flinders Ranges in South Australia. The slogan of the owners is: Real people only – no “Yuppies”, to be honest: I really like that statement.
Angorichina Village is situated approximately 18 kilometres east of Parachilna or around 15 kilometres west of Blinman. I stayed there with a friend on the campground in a tent in October 2011. The facilities like toilets and showers were very tidy and clean. We enjoyed the cooking area under a roof with stove, oven, fridge, benches and tables. The whole place looks proper and the people were very friendly.
The general store has some food supply like groceries, milk, bread, alcohol, ice and souvenirs. Mountain bikes are available for hire at the store as well. The petrol station has premium unleaded, unleaded, diesel and oil. Punctures can be fixed as well as fan belts and radiator hoses. So the place caters pretty much for some travel needs.

Angorichina Village has some air conditioned and heated units, chalets and a cottage as accommodation available, it sleeps between 4 and 8 people. Ideal for larger groups up to 43 people is the Hayward Hall with cool room and freezer as well as toilets and showers. The caravan park provides powered and unpowered campsites, BBQ & fire places and the above mentioned clean showers and toilets.

Great base to discover the region
Angorichina is among other places in the Flinders Ranges also a great base to discover the region. It just depends on your preferences. The famous Prairie Hotel in Parachilna is not far away, Blinman is in easy reach and Wilpena Pound, Moralana Scenic Drive and Brachina Gorge can be combined in a loop excursion. Or drive further north and visit Arkaroola and the Leigh Creek coal fields.
