Another great push bike trip is over. The start was in Adelaide in South Australia. To give you some idea about the cycle tour here some places along the way: The ride took me through the Adelaide Hills and the famous wine region McLaren Vale to Point Sturt at Lake Alexandrina. From there I circled via Milang to Wellington. Further south is Meningie which is close to the Coorong National Park. Heading south along the Princess Highway you get to Kingston SE, the home of the Giant Lobster. Mount Gambier with the Sunken Gardens and the Crater Lakes was another highlight. The cycle trip continued north via Naracoorte and Bordertown to Pinnaroo. Loxton was my first destination at the River Murray. I took the back road to Swan Reach which is also located at the Murray. After that you have to climb a few hills to Mount Pleasant. A few sections along the Mawson Trail took me back to Adelaide. You can also check out the map below.
The travel diary is now complete. See the various pages for details. The more technical orientated can get some information about the push bike and the trailer on separate pages. Some figures about the cycle trip are compiled in a chart.
